Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: $12.00

At this card workshop you will be making a baby boy card and a baby girl card while playing with the burnished velvet technique.

As you can see on the front of the cards, we will be learning how to do more than one colour in one area. While on the inside of the card, we will be doing the basic burnished velvet technique with only one colour.

So, if you missed my first burnished velvet technique workshop, there are no worries because we will be learning the basics again in this workshop.

We will be using BoBunny Double Dot Designs Two-Sided Papers: Powder Blue Dot, Powder Blue Stripe, Passion Fruit Dot and Passion Fruit Stripe. For the cardstock, we are using Bazzill: Vibrant Blue, Chablis, White Prismatic & Tapioca.

To embellish the card, we are using Stampin' Up Whisper White 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Kaiser Craft Rhinestones and the following Jewel Glitter Ritz Colours: Libery Blue, Rose Copper, White & Sand.

The stamps sets used on these cards are Close to My Heart's Baby Love & For Every Occasion.

It is an over cast day here today in Thunder Bay, so my photos didn't turn out as great as they could be.

Most Memorable Moments Layout Workshop

Thursday, April 28, 2011
Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: $20.00

Here is a fun 12 x 12, Two Page Layout that I came up with to suit almost any photos you may have laying around.

The two-sided patterned papers are My Mind's Eye's Fine & Dandy True Blue: Merry, Snappy, Day Dream, Pleasant & Shining and BoBunny's Turquoise Double Dot. The brown brads used on this page are from CTMH.

The title is done with Bazzill's Suede Brown - Dark cardstock using the Don Juan Cricut Cartridge for the lettering and the George & Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge to make the pennants.

We will be using CTMH's Tiny Typewriter Alphabet, Comments & Simple Stitches stamp sets with Stampin' Up's Soft Suede & Early Espresso Ink.

We will also be using the Grand Labels Four Nestabilities in the Spellbinder's Grand Calibur machine and the EK Success' small, yellow circle punch.

For the title on this layout, I have "Most Memorable Scrapbooking Moments - 2011". The word "Scrapbooking" in the turquoise dots can be changed to whatever you want it to be and so can the "2011" in the small pennant on the left bottom corner. These were stamped out with individual letters and numbers.

Happy Holidays with Lili of the Valley

This week's challenge on Sparkle Creation's Weekly Christmas Card Challenge is to use punches.

My girlfriends & I scrapbooked together for 12 hours this past Saturday and we challenged each other to use a Lili of the Valley stamp on a card and have it posted on our blogs within 2 weeks.

So, I still had my mojo going from Saturday and I designed this card on Sunday night. On Monday, I made a second card and prepped to make another 10 just like this it.

I challenged myself to keep the card somewhat flat, so the postage won't cost me so much when I go to mail these out come Christmas time.

I used Echo Park's "Everybody loves Christmas" two-sided patterned paper and Bazzill Classic Red, Bazzill Sour Apple & Bazzill Piglet cardstock. The brad is from CTMH and the embroidery floss is from my stash.

I used the EK Success small holly leaf punch, one of their medium photo corner punches and one of their border punches. I also used Creative Memories hexagon punches and Fiskars 1/8" circle hand held punch for the holly berries on the inside of the card.

The "Happy Holidays" sentiment stamp is from CTMH, the inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up and the image stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

The Copic Markers used: Crown - Y15 & Y18; Dog - E35 & E31; Dog Nose - W8; Holly Leaves - YG21 & C0; Present - BG72 & BG11; Ribbon & Berries - R27 and Pink Background - RV32 & R21.

March 2011 Calendar Page

Friday, April 01, 2011 - FULL
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Cost: $20.00 per month

"Always" two-sided patterned papers and Spring Willow Medium Bazzill cardstock.

All the rhinestones used on this page are from Zva Creative and the 1/8" old olive taffeta ribbon is from Stampin' Up. Since I don't have my photos on my layout yet, I still have the plastic behind a lot of my rhinestones.

We will be using CTMH's Simple Stitches stamp set with Stampin' Up's old olive ink to stamp out the zig zag stitches on the background paper and one of EK Success' large photo corner punches for the corner die-cuts.

The whole page is then misted with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.

Photo Sizes: One Vertical 5x7 photo, One Vertical 3.5x5 photo, One Horizontal 3.5x5 photo & One Horizontal 2x3 photo.
